My dentist said he is going to fill the gap between my front teeth. How do they do that?

Has anyone ever had this done? He said he was just going to make each tooth a little wider to fill the gap. What exactly do they do to teeth to make them wider? My aunt had to have her front teeth fixed, and they filed each one down to a little post, then put a fake tooth on top of it. Is that what they would do for me too?

bonding...it will look somewhat like it's part of your tooth but its almost like playdoh...they can shape it however they want so that it looks real...
Reply:most times if it is easy they can cap it. or they can cover with veniers.
Reply:I've never had it done but I dont think it hurts, they may numb your mouth. It probably will use the same thing as your aunt, porcelain Veneers.

You might be able to see someone get it done if you watch the show sometime. Its "10 Years Younger" on TLC, weekdays 1pm est/pt. Enjoy your new teeth! :D
