If you had braces when you got them off did you have yellow marks on your teeth?

I'm (hopefully) gonna get my braces off at the end of the summer and i'm afraid i'll have yellow marks on them. or does the orthodontist do something to make you teeth white? I have to get a fake tooth too!

depends on how you are taking care of them .....if you been taken care of them while you had them on you may not have any yellow spots....my sis got hers off and she has no yellow spots she had hers for about 4 years

Reply:Did you practice good oral hygiene? If you did, then there is nothing to worry about. They dont leave the glue hanging from your teeth. Although, if you were lax about brushing and such... Well you should have been more concerned then.

Reply:With all of the advancements in dental procedures I don't think you have a thing to worry about.
Reply:They might be a little yellow from where you couldnt brush as well.. but.. as soon as you brush your teeth with the braces off the yello color should disappear.
Reply:that happened to me its cause you didnt get around the braces good enough. your dentist can remove it/cover it up but it usually costs about 40/50 bucks a tooth.





it ends up costing a lot and then after i got mine done my retainer didnt fit right so i had to get a new one so be sure you get anything like that done before you get fitted for your first retainer





oh and then WEAR THE RETAINER

Reply:Are you a smoker? If so, yes you will have yellow marks on your teeth. If not, then you'll have nothing to worry about.


I had them and I didn't have any marks on my teeth when they were taken out.
Reply:Nope, no yellow marks. But I also brushed well. As long as you did everything you were suppose to, you should be fine.
Reply:If you smoke like I did then hell yeah you will have the yellow marks on your teeth but not to worry they will clean that up for you and you will have a wonderful smile.
