Can you get a fake tooth after your real one was pulled out?

My friend had to get her back tooth on her right side pulled out today and it really bother's her. Can she get a replacement of a tooth? Of course, fake. lol. Thank you!

Can you get a fake tooth after your real one was pulled out?
Yes, she can.

There are 3 kinds of prosthesis. (A prosthesis medical term for a replacement part)

A removable partial denture - "partial"

A fixed partial denture - "bridge"

An implant

A temperory solution would be a removable partial denture made entirely of plastic - this is called a "flipper". I would suggest that you visit a prosthodontist near you or for a cheaper fix go to the student dental clinic in a dental school.

To find a Prosthodontist near you go to the website: www.prosthodontics.org
Reply:yes she can but it costs a lot. and sometimes they fall out again.

edit: @ least it did for my brother
Reply:Yes, they can make a bridge or you can have a tooth screwed into your gums...but that is a painful and expensive surgery and there is a chance of rejection.
Reply:There are two solutions to this problem, one is a bridge (fits like a set of dentures that will allow her the feeling of a tooth there. the other is quite a bit more expensive and painful and that is to have a "post" installed, wherenby the dentist drills into your jaw and screws in ametal post, later attaching the tooth that post.
Reply:she sure can... they have partials. my sister fell and knocked out one of her front teeth %26amp; she has a "fake" one to this day
Reply:HELLO,

WHEN A TOOTH IS EXTRACTED THERE ARE SEVERAL OPTIONS TO REPLACE IT.

THE BEST IS WITH AN IMPLANT. HERE THE LOWER JAWBONE HAS A SCREW DRILLED INTO IT TO BE FOLLOWED BY PUTTING ON A CROWN. THIS IS TIME CONSUMING AND EXPENSIVE.

THE OTHER WAY IS TO HAVE A FALSE TOOTH ATTACHED TO THE TEETH NEXT TO THE ONE PULLED. THIS IS CALLED A BRIDGE AND WHILE IT'S NOT INEXPENSIVE IT IS MUCH MORE REASONABLE THAN THE IMPLANT IN COST, AND CAN BE STARTED AND FINISHED IN JUST A FEW VISITS.

THERE ARE OTHER METHODS TO REPLACE THE MISSING TOOTH AND THERE ARE DIFFERENT PRICES AND MEANS TO DO THEM.

IT SHOULD BE DISCUSSED WITH THE DENTIST.
Reply:I busted a chunk out of one of my front teeth when I was younger and they grafted a partial piece onto it, It's still there %26amp; it looks like the rest of my teeth.
Reply:Yes, a bridge or an implant.
Reply:yeah she can get a bridge

  1. I have to replace an extracted front tooth and it may cost £1000 for an implant. A friend said his dentist screwed one straight in 10 years ago for £170 and showed it to me -perfect. Can this be really done? This is not the first time I have been told this
