Is foil really that bad for your teeth? I am wanting to make some fake braces for Halloween.?

I don't have any fillings (at least, not any with metal of any sort in them). It seems like wire and foil would be an easy option. If any one had information on whether foil would destroy my teeth or a cheap alternative, I would really appreciate it.

Jeez, people. Lighten up! For a costume, this will do no harm. She's not planning on eating a meal with them. Just don't swallow the foil.

Reply:No silver fillings you shouldn't have a problem. If foil hits a silver filling it creates a electronic shock. It won't distroy your teeth unless the wires scratch the tooth surface then you will get a cavity.
