Do you think teeth whiting looks good or too fake?

people have told me i have white teeth while i think they arent white enough, i always wondered about teeth whiteting but when people have 'too white teeth' it looks unatural does it? i was wondering what u all think and if anyone has done it before (and i dont mean using whietening toothpaste)

I too was in the same situation. People would always compliment me on my smile and tell me my teeth were very white and bright. But when I looked in the mirror I did not see what they saw. My dentist told me not to get my teeth bleached b/c they were already white enough. SO I brought the Crest Professional Whitening strips from the dentist. It cost only $50. It looked great after a month. And I finally saw what others did. It did not look fake or overexposed. I try to do this once a year but not that often.
Reply:I think that it looks ok except on those people that go overboard. Then it is just too white and not at all natural
Reply:I think that it looks good. I would rather see white teeth even if it does look a little too good to be true than honest, true-to-life yellow,stained or brown teeth. However, a couple of caveats: Be careful not to do it too often. If yours are already white enough that you get compliments, then wait until the compliments stop coming before you do it, b/c over time, it can weaken the teeth. My darling, handsome 19 year-old-son just called me from college to tell me he broke a front tooth biting his THUMBnail! I am sure he must have been whitening his teeth to death during HS with those white strips, but not telling me. He has learned the hard way. Now he'll have to have an expensive set of veneers, so I am being taught a lesson as well. I think I'll make him pay me back.





Also, whitened or veneered teeth look really odd in black light, so when you go to the night clubs or to Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, don't smile real big, or you'll look scary. LOL.
Reply:I havent had my teeth whitened as I think it can look so fake!! (imagine a darkened room and someones teeth glowing out at you!!) Best of luck to you though!!
Reply:I used zoom whitening and it don't look fake.... see your dentist for the best whitening product for you.
Reply:teeth are like crayons, everycrayon is beautiful, except for the really ugly brown, so as long as your teeth are a ok, don't whiten your teeth
Reply:From my perspective in the U.K. the fad for white teeth is bizarre. To me they always look like cheap false teeth.

Reply:i love white teeth. i don't think theres anything nicer than a nice white bright smile. who cares if it looks fake, people don't think, "oh my god how fake are her teeth?" like they do with maybe breast implants. when i see a person with bright white teeth, i think it makes their face look brighter and healthier and friendlier. i love white teeth, go nuts!!
