Fake teeth? please help!?

My 2 front teeth are not straight and I am very self conscience about it and instead of getting braces, I would like to get fake teeth(would they actually take my real teeth out and put fake ones in or a cover on the real ones to make them appear straight) How would I go about asking my dentist?

Fake teeth? please help!?
You may be able to have your two front teeth capped. When I was younger I lived in an area with really bad water and it left a line on my two front teeth. I wouldn%26#039;t smile EVER! I just hated it so much....my mom took me to a dentist and he told me about caps....they basically kind of cut down your tooth, they don%26#039;t generally pull them, and then they can put an enamel cap over your tooth and seal it and nobody can tell you have had it done! It was wonderful and I finally started to SMILE :) The dentist can also color the enamel in order to match the color of your teeth so it doesn%26#039;t look fake...trust me...you don%26#039;t want to have your two front teeth pulled but just call around and ask about getting enamel caps for your front teeth. I%26#039;m sure the dentist will need to do an overall check first and he can then give you options. Ask friends and family about their dentist - always ask questions, it%26#039;s your money and it%26#039;s your mouth...so make sure you feel comfortable with whatever the dentist wants to do...You know, I%26#039;m sure there are new procedures I don%26#039;t even know about since my teeth were done many years ago. And just in case you are wondering, no they don%26#039;t fall off and you will SMILE, SMILE, SMILE! Hope this helps.
Reply:well they would probably take out the 2 crooked teeth and give u a type of dentures or well thats all that i know that they would do..
Reply:Are you talking about veneers? Just ask your dentist what options are available other than braces to improve the appearance of your teeth.
Reply:Actually I would keep your teeth. If you don%26#039;t want to get the metal braces I have seen a new method in which you place a clear thing over your teeth and have it on for a while. You get new clear pieces to put over you teeth until you teeth finally are in the right position.

It is called Invisilign. I have seen this advertised on the TV. You can remove this when you eat and it%26#039;s not that noticable.

Take a look at the link of my source for more info on how to straighten your teeth without the braces :)
Reply:Removal or your real teeth is not a good prospect. What nature gave you is the best.

You might get them capped. There are several other thoughts like clear braces, or the product that allows you to slowly change tooth position while you wear a mouth guard at night.

Ask your dentist
Reply:Let me give you some advice from one that has falsies ...I%26#039;m 35 years old and I have falsies on the top ...They are great no tooth aches no worries about them being crooked or rotted or nasty nothing ..BUT... My teeth have always been bad rotten and just plainn nasty my bottom are the same way but I couldnt afford them too ....BUT if all I had wa two top crooked teeth there are other options keep your teeth as long as they can be saved only get falsies if you dont have a good tooth in your mouth:)
Reply:Don%26#039;t get a partial denture. KEEP YOUR NATURAL TEETH. I have full dentures and they may look nice, but they still don%26#039;t function the same as your real ones. Talk to your dentist about getting veneers placed on your front teeth, or look into the invisalign. I know its your call on the situation, but ask a dentist what your options are, investigate them all, and go from there. I think veneers would be your best option. Just call up your dentist, get an appointment or schedule a consultation and go from there. Good luck.
