Your real teeth are one color and the fake teeth are really white.
Reply:No, I have fillings that are white and they look like real teeth, people can't tell if it's done right and my mom has a few fake teeth and they look real. And it's better to have fake teeth then no teeth anyway.
Reply:no not at all, i am a dental asst. and the docter will match it to your other teeth, you wont be able to tell, so i promise you no one else will. you are going to look great okay.
Reply:Yes it can be very noticeable, especially if it is a denture or bridge. Implants are the est way to replace teeth, but make sure you get an oral %26amp; maxillofacial surgeon to put the implant in, and a proper implant restorative dentist to actually place the crown. Spend money on it, and it should be worth a lifetime of dental freedom

Go to http://www.dentalimplantsaustralia.com/i...

phoneCarterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08990277645953019542noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3635198940573697019.post-23891048500804853272009-08-02T21:42:00.002-07:002009-08-02T21:42:47.755-07:00My fake tooth/crown and the natural post broke off. Shouldn't the dentist be responsible?I had a root canal and crown put on only 3.5 YRS ago.

The crown also fell off three months after he originally put it on.

He says he should pay $200 out of pocket to put in a metal post this time. Is this right? Shouldn't he have put in metal post the first time through?

What should be done when the crown breaks off with the post and build up all inside the crown?

My fake tooth/crown and the natural post broke off. Shouldn't the dentist be responsible?
Your question does not make complete sense the way it is written.

1. Depending on the condition of the tooth when the origial root canal was done, No he did not have to put in a steel post at that time. He can just shave down the natural tooth to act as the post. Very normal process.

2. If it fell of in the first three months, I'm guessing the cap just came off but the post was ok at that time. The dentist shoul have been able to just re-cement it back in place.

3. If after 3.5 years something happened and the natural post broke off in the tooth. I would have to ask do you brush your teeth at least twice a day? If not then it could be as simple as decay got under the cap and caused the natural post to weaken. Even if you do brush something like this can happen. So while 3.5 years is short it would not be unheard of either.

4. Now the dentist will need to insert a steel post and build up around that and then cement a new crown onto the new steel post.
Reply:I am sure that he recomended that certain foods should'nt be eaten, if you did he is not responsible. Also it depends on how long you've had those babies in.
Reply:Well, in America, Doctors are allowed to charge whatever they want for their services. It's a competitive business just like anyone else. Unfortunately, I think you might be stuck having to pay.

Some dentists will replace a broken crown if it's broken within a certain amount of time after being put on. 3.5 years sounds like it might be a bit too long. I believe that a person is expected to have crowns replaced every 5 years or so, (at their own expense) to avoid them breaking and you being stuck with half a tooth. It sounds like what's happened to your tooth would be difficult to fix, so it does not surprise me that your dentist wants you to pay. I doubt he ever gauranteed a lifetime warranty...crowns break often.

I'm no expert, but I've avoided having crowns put on my teeth for years since I know so many people who have to deal with broken crowns being broken for weeks before their doctor could get to them, plus all the expenses involved. Good luck...I'd go with what your dentist is offering. At least with a metal bar the post won't break again. Remember, it's your responsibility to ask questions before having any kind of medical work done. If you're unsure about something, anything, ask. You're dentist has to answer as honestly as he can.
Reply:Go see a different dentist; the other one should be responsible!

For a temporary fix, you can use a crown glue that you can buy at Walgreens.

Good Luck!!
Reply:well... did you break one of the rules about wut u can and cant do. some people never have a problem the first time... others do. think about it as ordinary and industrial power. o well its not like you can go with out it now? at least that wut ive heard. and even if im wrong and he is responsible... do you want to go to court and pay mabey thosands of $ to get out of $200? it doesnt seem worth it.

necklaceCarterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08990277645953019542noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3635198940573697019.post-47540394146040647202009-08-02T21:42:00.001-07:002009-08-02T21:42:30.993-07:00How much would a fake tooth cost?i need a tooth pulled and replaced any idea how much that would cost ?

How much would a fake tooth cost?
It depends on what you do. It's urgent.

Missing Teeth! important!?
The cheapest temporary solution would probably be a "flipper". Our office charges $190 for those. It is like a orthodontic retainer with the tooth attached to it. It is only for looks; if you eat with it you might break it. Beyond that, there are many options depending on the scenario. The best thing for her to do would be to go see a dentist and ask what the options are.
Reply:Tell her to call the dentist and ask.. it all depends

mortgage rateCarterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08990277645953019542noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3635198940573697019.post-42677462135078322842009-08-02T21:41:00.000-07:002009-08-02T21:41:10.784-07:00Does anyone know about teeth i went to the dentist six months ago and they said that i had a little infection?in my upper right tooth and they gave me antiboits but i di not get the tooth pulled because it is a fake tooth and i had it done ten years ago and it is 180 and i dont have it know if i dont get it pulled yet will it kill me.

Does anyone know about teeth i went to the dentist six months ago and they said that i had a little infection?
WHAT?!?!? That's not going to happen, but if it did...they have easy ways of replacing that tooth with a porcelain one that will look just like the rest of your teeth. Call the dentist...and try not to worry. One thing you don't want to do is

have an infection in your mouth and do nothing about it. That CAN be really serious. The infection can get into your blood stream and cause MAJOR problems... just go see your dentist and you'll be fine! ♥ We worry about teeth things cause they are scary..dentists are not scary ...they make the hurts go away...♥
Reply:I actually think this is the wearing away of the enamel. I think it is yellow because it doesn't have the protection over it and coffee/tea and other things stain teeth especially without the enamel over it. This is happening to my friend right now and she doesn't have any dental insurance so she hasn't been able to get them fixed. I personally don't think they are cavities, and they will probably be able to fill them in. Just go as soon as you can. Don't lose your smile.....she has lost hers because she is too embarassed to smile. It is sad, but she is saving to have something done. Good luck.
Reply:Sounds like you may be brushing your teeth too rough. I have the same problem. I have receding gum lines and worn down teeth because of it too. My dentist was able to put some filler into the holes but that's only temporary...it will eventually wear out again. The fix is to actually pay attention when you're brushing and don't push down on your brush so hard. My dentist recommended I get an electric toothbrush...i.e. Sonicare because you just need to rest the brush on your teeth and you let the vibrating brush do all the work.

my birdCarterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08990277645953019542noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3635198940573697019.post-32492481679870704452009-08-02T21:40:00.002-07:002009-08-02T21:40:38.673-07:00Fake and false? He has a fake tooth

He has a false tooth

Is it the same meaning ? when we use fake and when for false? what is the opposite? thanks alot

Fake and false?
They are essentially the same, but they may have different connotations depending on the context. Often "false" in this and similar sentences means that the item was intentionally put there as a replacement whereas "fake" tends to mean that the item is meant to fool ... Which would you choose? Why? Oh, yeah, no dental coverage and not a lot of money, so we didn't have many choices that were anything close to affordable. Hope to get some fake teeth in the spring maybe.

If you were I high school girl, would you rather go toothless or have ugly buck teeth that hurt all the time?
Bless your heart. I honestly feel for you. When I was in high school, I didn't have perfect teeth either, and my family didn't have insurance or anything, and my Mom was the only one that worked because my Dad was disabled. There was 6 in our family. Us kids all got jobs at early ages. Just tell anybody that asks or makes fun of you (hopefully noone will, that is cruel) that you are having dental work done, and hopefully before long your problems will be fixed. AND REMIND THEM THAT THEY AREN'T PERFECT EITHER. Some peoples imperfections are on the inside and other people's are on the outside.
Reply:well I am fourteen and i have large two front teeth and I still get alot of girls at school. What would you pick? Why? Oh yeah, no dental coverage so not havin much money we didn't have a lot of choices that were anything like affordable. Hope to get some fake teeth in the spring maybe.

If you were a high school girl, would you rather go toothless or have ugly buck teeth that hurt all the time?
I'd have all my teeth pulled too if i was in pain. a toothache is the worst. By having them pulled you give yourself the option of dentures down the road. That will be a huge improvement. As for not having dental insurance, my ex's sister had the same thing done and went to south carolina for false. They were really cheap there. Being so young, if your parents aren't making really good money you may be able to get medicaid. In michigan, it covers dental up til the persons 21
Reply:i would get them all taken out and just put money back to get some he looks good for you
Reply:I would go toothless and wouldnt care if people made fun of me because my dad always told me that if people make fun of you that they are just jelous your teeth will grow back soner or later and I would reather or toothless than be in pain for a long time!

loan forumCarterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08990277645953019542noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3635198940573697019.post-21940795885794961662009-08-02T21:39:00.000-07:002009-08-02T21:39:02.712-07:00My 3 yr old was playing hard and fell and knocked out one of his baby teeth.?Will a dentist be willing to put a fake tooth in its place? Its one of his front teeth and I hate that hes going to be without a tooth for at least a few years.

My 3 yr old was playing hard and fell and knocked out one of his baby teeth.?
You should bring him to a dentist because you need to make sure that there is not nerve damage. The dentist will tell you what a viable option is. I have heard that if you know tooth out, you can put it in milk and they might be able to reset but I am not sure if that is just for second teeth. Hope your baby is feeling OK.
Reply:I don't think that dentists will replace baby teeth. Because in a few years, they'd just have to remove it again so that a new, permanent tooth could grow in. If you really want a replacement, you can always asks the dentists in your area.
Reply:I don't think the dentist will do anything about this, I'm sorry.
Reply:no .he is too young to have a fake tooth wait till about age 5
Reply:You may hate it bUt he could (or will) care less. Why spend the money?
Reply:well if you ask the dentist i'm almost positive they will only unless it could affect his health my tooth died and i had a gray tooth for 3 yrs. when i was little
Reply:It'll grow back in a few years or months if he's lucky I don't don't think you need to worry too much but you should tske him to the dentist and get it checked out for an infection or to prevent a future

Happy Thsnksgiving God Bless you and child!!!!!!
Reply:The only - and I emphasize - the ONLY person to whom it is appropriate to address this question IS the dentist. There are pros and cons to each approach; let him/her explain them to you and go with his/her recommendation.
Reply:Its not common that a dentist will re-place a baby tooth, but it all depends what the conditions are, many times when a child falls, they also man need stitches if the tooth rips the top or botttum of the gum.
Reply:Poor thing! It is very unlikely that any dentist will put a false tooth in a wee one as single-tooth prostheses are so small if he falls again he might swallow\inhale it. Also, baby teeth are too small and have too big a 'nerve' to have a bridge attached.

So I think you'll have to get used to his gap!! Usually from adult teeth come in ata bout 6 years old...
Reply:I would let it go . . . he will have a permanent tooth to come back in a few years. He is a toddler, and it will only add to his cuteness. You should play toothfairy with him, and make it a positive all around experience. Just my opinion, but this is just part of life.
Reply:im not sure if replacing it would be economically efficeint but put the knocked out tooth in a cup of milk, if the tooth is still fresh, you might be able to put the origional tooth bak in.

thats what ive heard.
Reply:No. Just wait for his adult teeth to come in.
Reply:As an orthodontist...I would not consider putting in an implant as he'll be getting more teeth anyway. In addition, in order to put in an implant I would have to take an impression of his bite. If your child doesn't have all his baby teeth it would be virtually impossible to accurately implant a tooth in it's place and not create problems with alignment for bite a future tooth placements.
Reply:Why would you want to replace a baby tooth? It is not necessary. The adult tooth will grow in fast enough. It is not that big of a deal.
Reply:Take him to the dentist ASAP. My mom's friend's first grand son Matthew knocked out his 2 front teeth and the gum started to rot. His mother(who is too lazy sometimes to take of him) waited around 1 1/2 years to take him to get it checked out and they rotted so bad to the point that they would never grow in. Now he has sliver teeth. He looked pretty bad too.
Reply:Take him to the dentist and have it checked out to see that everything is okay. If it is just for aesthetic reasons, you could see if they could make you something called a "flipper". It is a cap that can be removed, but looks like a regular tooth. Then he wouldn't have a gap.

I would be more worried that the adult tooth would descend properly than whether or not there is an empty space......

myspace layoutsCarterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08990277645953019542noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3635198940573697019.post-11364115974186018502009-08-02T21:38:00.002-07:002009-08-02T21:38:46.702-07:00How can I make a wolf tail and wolf teeth?I'm dressing up as the big bad wolf (I'm a chick) and need some help with some of the details. Pre-made tails in my area are black, but I'm going to be brown (I know, I have to be difficult). Will panty-hose stuffed with something work best, or is there some craftier way to go about it? Also, the only fake teeth/fangs I've found are clear and super crappy. What other way(s) can I give myself fangs without just painting them on? Thanks for any help!

How can I make a wolf tail and wolf teeth?
Wolves' tails are fluffy so I don't think that stuffed pantyhose would give the right look. I'd just buy a very small amount (1/8 yd if they'll sell you that little) of fake fur yardage at a fabric store --get the most convincing color/pattern. At home you can sew or glue it into a tube, and make the end more pointy by sewing or gluing... then pin it to your rear from under your clothes, or attach it to some elastic around your hips, etc.

Teeth are harder. If you can't find any vampire teeth (candy or plastic version like for Halloween, or in a costume store), I'd think some painted ones would be best (at least the two fangs)... they can be painted pretty convincingly (look in Halloween costume or face painting books at library or bookstore for tips).

You could make some awesome teeth from polymer clay but don't know how you'd hold them on your face anywhere... you wouldn't want something actually in your mouth very long. You could wear a mask though and put the teeth in that (with polymer clay, we make a bake the teeth separately, then shove them into an unbaked "gum" of clay (then bake together).

(if you're interested in making teeth from polymer clay though, check out some of the ideas on this page:

http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/sculpt...

.... click on the category called "Mouths," then scroll down to *TEETH*...)

HTH,

Diane B.
Reply:using paper, colors, glue, elastics and scissors

you can make both teeth and ears

draw them

color them

stick them on the elastic that you put it around your head and mouth!!!!!

good luck!!
Reply:tail... if you can find some cheap fake (wolves know FUR IS DEAD!) fur-lined coats at goodwill, maybe some quick work with scissors will net you a suitable brown tail. can you find a brown feather duster and mix the brown feathers in with the black fur? the panty-hose idea is good, but it might weigh too much if you fill it up, and come unattached at an inopportune time (and you'll lose street cred with little red riding hood if that happens.)

teeth... if you can avoid eating them, maybe those brach's candy corns would be a reasonable look-alike for wolf fangs. if there's a year-round costume store in your city, maybe you could doctor up some vampire fangs. can you find some denture adhesive to attach whatever you do find so you won't have to worry about it falling out? anything you use will probably make your mouth dry, so good luck. what DO wolves drink?

pictures pictures, we want pictures!

myspace layoutsCarterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08990277645953019542noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3635198940573697019.post-68347161261931434882009-08-02T21:38:00.001-07:002009-08-02T21:38:30.712-07:00Look at me, im a rapper, I can creat fake words, have my pants down to my knees, and hold on to my crotch?and also put on fake teeth that make me look like a moron...duhhhh

Look at me, im a rapper, I can creat fake words, have my pants down to my knees, and hold on to my crotch?
Hahahaha!!!!
